What is Up Ahead?
This is the spot on the website where I’m supposed to start overwhelming you with punchy text and splashy images and a long list of incredible features. I actually did try to build something like this initially, but it looked annoying and bad, and the experience of both building it and reading it was so boring that I almost died.
So then I thought: “What’s less boring than splashy images and a long list of incredible features?” And because I am very good at sales, I decided that the answer to that was “A lot of plain text”. I didn’t really think too hard beyond that, as is probably quite evident in what you’ve read so far. But I am making some of the words bold to keep you engaged.
Anyway, I’m surprised you’re here. This is not a very useful website. But while you’re here, let me just say: Up Ahead is a good app. In fact, it’s one of the very best apps out there. Actually — hold on — we’re getting word now that Up Ahead has been ranked #1 Best App That Has Been Made So Far. Most apps are bad, and in fact, if you really pushed me on it, I would probably encourage you to throw your phone into a lake and never use this or any other app. But since you won’t do that, you may as well try this app, whose sole intention is to happily remind you of the things you are most looking forward to. It is colourful, it has unlockable patterns, it was made with a great deal of care by me, and it won’t really annoy you with upsells or anything like that because I am not very good at converting my time into money with this thing.
Speaking of which, I should warn you: there are paid features, and you can subscribe to unlock these features. I do the subscription thing because Smart App Men tell me this is roughly the only viable way for an app like this to make any money on the App Store. Sometimes, when I put on my glasses and review my app sales, I find myself doubting these Men, but I know in my heart that they have run the numbers and would not mislead me.
There’s a lifetime option too if you hate subs.
See you in the Up Aheadiverse,
